New academic session starts today
Kathmandu. The new academic session is officially starting today. According to the decision of the government, the academic session of the school level has been started from the 15th of every Baisakh. In the past, since the academic session started from 2nd of Baisakh, the private schools decided to stop taking admissions due to the completion of the annual examination and in the situation of inconvenient supply of fuel, they decided to start admissions from 15th of Baisakh. But in the facilitation of some local levels, students have already been admitted before 15th Baisakh.
The government gave instructions on March 22 to refund the illegal admission and other fees being charged in private institutional schools. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has requested all the local levels concerned to proceed with the legal process to return the admission fees taken against the law and the fees other than those prescribed by the Institutional School Fee Determination Criteria Directive, 2072.
