Today is the second day of Biska Jatra: special worship is being performed on the chariots of Bhairava and Bhadrakali
Kathmandu. The second day of Biska Jatra is being celebrated today in Bhaktapur with great fanfare. Today, on the second day, special worship is being performed on the chariots of Bhairava and Bhadrakali. In this Jatra, which started from Lichchavikal, today the local residents worship the chariots of Bhairavnath and Bhadrakali located in Taumarhi as well as darshan.
The chariot drawn the previous night will be kept in the gahhiti today. To organize the Jatra, the local administration has tightened the security arrangements and volunteers have also been mobilized. This pilgrimage, which lasts for eight days and nine nights, is considered very important religiously, culturally and socially.
Biska Jatra is considered as an important cultural festival of Bhaktapur, which conveys the message of tradition, culture and community unity along with welcoming the New Year.
