Bipin's body arrived in the country: Prime Minister reached the airport

Kathmandu. The body of Bipin Joshi from Kanchanpur, who lost his life in the attack of Hamas in Israel, has been brought home. His body arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport some time ago on Monday. Prime Minister, Ministers, Foreign Ministry officials and other high level presence were present at the airport to pay homage to Bipin. According to family sources, the body will be taken to his home in Bhimdatta municipality of Kanchanpur today and the last cremation will be performed there.

Bipin Joshi went to Israel for his studies. On October 7, 2023, he was taken hostage during an attack by Hamas on a kibbutz area in Israel. While his condition remained unknown for some time, Israeli authorities confirmed his death on October 27.
Hamas handed over the body to the Israeli side during a prisoner exchange after the cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Before bringing his body to Nepal, tributes were paid to his body at Israel's Khativa 8 Memorial and Ben Gurion International Airport.
