Three people were arrested with a pistol marked Nepal Police
Kathmandu. Nepal Police has arrested three people with weapons stolen during the Genji movement. The police team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested three people with weapons stolen from various police offices during the demonstration on August 23rd and 24th and released them today.
Those arrested are 28-year-old Rasil Joshi of Kathmandu Kalanki, 19-year-old Ramchandra Kunwar alias Debid, a native of Darchula and living in Sundhara, Kathmandu, and 31-year-old Birat Prasad Joshi of Kathmandu Bafal. Spokesperson of the office, Superintendent of Police Kazikumar Acharya, informed that they were arrested based on a special information that police weapons were stolen and hidden during the protest.
The police have recovered one pistol with Nepal Police written on it and two mobile phones belonging to different companies. Spokesperson Acharya said that while Rasil Joshi was under arrest in police circle Swayambhu in the drug case, Ujenjiu escaped by hiding the opportunity of the movement.
The office informed that the three arrested persons have been sent to District Police Complex Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
