The value of the dollar hit a new record, while other foreign currencies also rose
Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the official exchange rate of foreign currencies for Wednesday.
According to the new rate determined by the Central Bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 152 rupees 71 paise and the selling rate of 153 rupees 31 paise. Similarly, there has been an increase in the price of the European Euro, the buying rate of which has been set at 179 rupees 31 paisa and the selling rate of 180 rupees 02 paise. The selling rate of UK pound sterling was 207 rupees 53 paise while the selling rate of Swiss franc reached 196 rupees 30 paise.
In other major currencies, the selling rate of the Australian dollar was maintained at 110 rupees 78 paise, the Canadian dollar at 111 rupees 82 paise and the Singapore dollar at 120 rupees 49 paise. The selling rate of one yuan, the currency of the neighboring country China, is fixed at 22 rupees 57 paisa, while the selling rate of 10 Japanese yen is 9 rupees 73 paisa.
