The unity national conference of the Nepali Communist Party passed a 9-point resolution
Kathmandu. The Unity National Conference of the Nepali Communist Party has passed a 9-point resolution. The conference held in Kathmandu has passed various 9-point resolutions including the name of the party, the election symbol. In the conference, the parties participating in the unity process have decided to form the 'Nepali Communist Party' by uniting the party, and it has been decided to keep the election symbol 'Five Pointed Star'. Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Madhav Nepal have been elected as co-convenors of the Communist Party of Nepal, which is made up of ten parties.
In the unity declaration meeting, the coordinator of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', President of United Socialists Madhav Kumar Nepal, Supreme Leader of United Socialists Jhalnath Khanal, Senior Leader of Maoists Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Senior Leader of United Socialists Vamdev Gautam, President of Nepal Samajwadi Party Mahendra Rai Yadav, General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party Chiran Pun and other top leaders and activists participated.
The guiding principle of the unified party is Marxism-Leninism and the program is scientific socialism with Nepali characteristics. On that occasion, Pramesh Hamal, a senior leader of the United Socialists and a member of the Unity Coordination Committee, said that the integration of the broad communist movement to fulfill the goals of the socialist revolution by achieving good governance, social justice and economic transformation is the need for unity among the various left components. According to him, the strategy of the party at that time was to protect the achievements of the capitalist democratic revolution, protect national independence, good governance, social justice, social economic prosperity and transformation, and prepare the basis for socialism.
It has been agreed between the united parties to organize a unity national convention within the next six months. A central committee will be formed on the basis of mutual agreement by adjusting the central committee of the former party members who participated in the unity process. The central committee will have the post of coordinator and co-coordinator. There will also be arrangements for coordinators and co-coordinators in all committees at the state, district, municipality and ward levels.
