Ramechhap. After the incident in Sindhuli where the mother-in-law and Nanda killed the daughter-in-law Sushila Bamjan by pouring petrol, the tension has become more uncontrolled.

After the tension got out of control, a curfew had to be imposed in Sindhuli. Although the district administration office issued a curfew order from Thursday evening, the situation could not be brought under control.

The situation became tense when the locals, enraged by the incident, tried to set fire to the house of the accused. To control it, the local administration imposed a curfew from 8:30 pm on Thursday. 50-year-old mother-in-law Mayarani Bamjan and 35-year-old Nand Mina Lama Bamjan were arrested by the police on 7th of December on charges of murdering 32-year-old Sushila Bamjan of Dhurabazar, Kamalamai Municipality 4, Sindhuli on 6th of December.

It is alleged that Sushila was set on fire by sprinkling petrol and kerosene in the kitchen of the house of 62-year-old Durgaman Bamjan of Kamalamai Municipality 4 Dhurabazar. After the incident, the angry locals took to the streets. They have demanded strict action against the perpetrators. After the angry crowd tried to set fire to the accused's house on Thursday, the police fired tear gas to control the situation.
