Kathmandu. Hon'ble Prime Minister Balendra Shah is going to leave for New York at 7 pm today to participate in the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations. With Prime Minister Shah's departure to New York, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has been assigned the responsibility of Acting Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Shah had recommended to President Ramchandra Paudel on Tuesday to give Finance Minister Wagle the responsibility of Acting Prime Minister in his absence. According to the President's Office, President Paudel has appointed Finance Minister Wagle as caretaker based on the same recommendation.
