The process of breaking the sick contracts of roads and bridges has started, 17 contracts are being broken

Kathmandu. The process of canceling the contracts for the construction of roads and bridges, which have been stalled for years due to lack of work, has started.
Under the Road Department, Postal Road Directorate, Federal Road Supervision and Monitoring Office Kathmandu and Road Division Office under Itahari have proceeded with the process of breaking 17 contracts which are in sick condition.

The Road Division Office Biratnagar, Chandranigahpur and the Directorate have issued a public notice on Friday asking why 17 contracts (five and Nuwakot) should not be terminated.

Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development, Kulman Ghising, directed the subordinate agencies to break the sick contracts to end the trend of taking contracts but not working and stalling projects. There are 258 contracts under the road.
