The new interest rate of commercial banks for the month of Baisakh has been announced, who's how much?

Kathmandu. The new interest rates announced by the commercial banks for the month of April have indicated a slight decline in deposits. Compared to Chait, the average interest rate of both personal and institutional deposits has decreased in Baisakh. According to the data, the average interest rate on personal deposits fell to 4.40 percent in April from 4.49 percent in March. Institutional deposits have also decreased from 3.29 percent to 3.23 percent.

Looking at the banking situation, some banks have reduced the interest rate while some have kept it as it is. Citizens Bank International and Everest Bank have reduced personal deposits by 0.35 and 0.20 percent respectively. Himalayan Bank has reduced the interest rate by 0.50 percent for individuals and 0.25 percent for institutions. Institutional deposit rate decreased by 0.54 percent in Nabil Bank, while NIC Asia Bank and National Commercial Bank reduced personal deposits by 0.25 percent. Siddharth Bank has reduced the deposit rates of both types by the same 0.25 percent.
