Extension of Pokhara-Muglin road affected due to non-removal of electricity poles
Kathmandu. The construction of the Pokhara section under the Pokhara-Muglin road project has been affected due to the non-removal of the poles of the 11 kV dedicated power line taken to the Pokhara International Airport. Due to the non-removal of 29 poles from the electricity substation in Kundahar to the entrance of the airport, the service lane and footpath of the road could not be constructed.
Krishna Bahadur Kunwar, chief engineer of the road project, said that even though the airport office and the Nepal Electricity Authority have been written to several times to remove the electricity poles, there has been no response. The airport has built its own structure from Kundahar Chowk and has been using electricity taken through a dedicated line.
