Kathmandu. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light rain in some hilly and mountainous areas due to the influence of western winds in Nepal. According to the department, it will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country. Similarly, the weather will be mainly clear in most places. There is a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki region.
Life was affected for a few days due to rain due to 'Montha Cyclone' which developed in the Bay of Bengal. Along with the rain, there was snowfall in the Himalayan region. Due to the snowfall, 13 tourists were trapped inside and outside the Tilicho lake base camp located in Disyang rural municipality 9 of Manang. They were rescued by the team of the Mountain Rescue Training Center Shikshalaya Manang of the Armed Police.
According to the National Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Authority, from the morning of the 15th of October to the morning of the 16th, the details of rainfall were measured at 301 rain measuring centers across the country. Among them, 185 rain gauge stations have provided significant rainfall data.
Among them, the highest rainfall was 71.1 mm in Bensishahr center of Lamjung. Out of the stations where rainfall was measured, four stations received more than 50 mm of rain.
