The government is bringing a new standard to resolve border disputes at the local level
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has prepared a new standard to solve the complications seen in the demarcation of local levels and wards in a policy manner.
The Ministry is going to make such a solid policy arrangement after the people have to suffer due to technical and practical problems such as the recommendation comes from one ward but the geography of the land falls in another ward. The draft of the standards prepared for this is being studied on the opinions and suggestions received from the stakeholders and the general public.
According to Deepak Dhakal, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry, this standard will be finalized after further consultation with the officials of the Rural Municipality General Association and Municipal Association. In the year 2074, 753 local levels were not demarcated in detail in the field, so the problems of geography and boundary changes have come to the surface during the exercise.
