5 billion approved for the House of Representatives elections
Kathmandu. The government has approved a budget of 5 billion rupees for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21. Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Bhattarai informed that the Ministry of Finance has approved only Rs 4.96 billion for the Election Commission's demand of Rs 7.5 billion.
According to Bhattarai, the necessary resources for the election have been ensured. He said that if additional budget is needed, the government will facilitate it in the future and now 5 billion has been approved.
