Kathmandu. The election for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives will be held on March 27. Speaker Dolprasad Aryal formally announced the date in the meeting of the House of Representatives held on Wednesday.
Speaker Aryal was elected unopposed in the election held on March 22. After his single candidacy, he was elected to the Speaker's post without competition. According to Rule 7 of the Rules of the House of Representatives, after the election of the Speaker, the election process of the Deputy Speaker will be continued. According to the same provision, the process of selecting the Deputy Speaker will now proceed.
