The commission told the candidates: Make the election expenses public

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has requested the candidates to submit their election expenditure details. The commission issued a statement on Thursday and requested that within 35 days from the date of completion of the election, the political parties should inform the election commission and the candidates in their districts of the state and district election offices of the income and expenses of the election campaign and the details.

In the case of candidates who are candidates on behalf of political parties, on the notice board of the district election office in their district, on the notice board of the relevant rural municipality or municipality or ward office, in the case of candidates running on behalf of the political party, in the case of candidates running on behalf of the political party, the commission requests them to publish their election details on the mass media, newspapers, radio, television, etc. or on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

According to the Commission, action will be taken in accordance with Section 31 of the Election Offenses and Punishment Act, 2073 in the case of political parties and candidates who do not disclose and make public the details of election expenses and do not provide written information to the commission and the relevant election office along with the proof of the details of the election expenses.
