The character certificate should mention the details of the law violation
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has made it clear that from now on, activities done against the law will be mentioned in the character certificate issued by the Nepal Police. According to the Ministry, the inclusion of such details may seriously affect foreign studies, employment, immigration and foreign travel, so the general public has been warned to follow the law.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that the National Crime Records Management and Police Character Certificate Distribution Guidelines, 2081 are being implemented to organize the national records related to crime. According to the guidelines, the activities that are done contrary to the existing legal provisions, methods and procedures will be mentioned compulsorily while issuing the character certificate.
