Sitaula arrested for assaulting Mayor Subedi
Jhapa. The police have arrested one person who assaulted Mayor Chhatrapati Subedi of Gauradah Municipality in Jhapa. According to the police, 34-year-old Bhishma Sitaula, resident of Gauradah 5 Rajpati Chowk, Chapramari, went to Mayor Subedi's house drunk at around 7:30 pm on Sunday and abused and assaulted him.
According to Mayor Subedi, Sitaula came to the house and argued with him and asked him to leave. A team under the command of Sub-Inspector Chandra Bahadur Karki from Maharani Jhoda police station took Sitaula into custody. He has been kept in the area police office Damak. The cause of the incident has not yet been revealed. The police said that further investigations are being conducted into the incident.
