Party unity agreement between 8 Left parties, joint conference to be held on Kartik 19

Kathmandu. 8 main leftist parties of Nepal have united the party. An 18-point 'Party Unity Agreement' has been signed between the CPN Maoist Center, CPN Unified Socialist Party, Nepal Socialist Party, CPN Socialist Party, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, CPN Maoist Socialist Party and CPN Communist Party with the aim of achieving the goal of socialist revolution through defense of federal democratic republic, national independence, good governance, social justice and economic transformation.

According to the agreement, the Ekta National Conference will be organized as a joint meeting of the central committees of all the participating parties on the 19th. The conference announced the unity of the party, passed the manifesto, interim constitution and decided to form a new central committee. Ekta National Convention will be organized within 6 months after Ekta Conference. The name of the new party will be 'Nepal Communist Party CPN' and the election symbol is a five-pointed star.

In the letter of agreement, it is mentioned that the guiding principle of the party is Marxism-Leninism, and the program of the Nepalese revolution will be 'scientific socialism with Nepali characteristics'. It has been agreed that the movement will be mainly peaceful and that there will be an active role in all fronts including streets, houses and government depending on the situation. According to the structure of the party, there will be a coordinator and co-coordinator system from the center to the ward level. It is mentioned that there will be proportionate adjustment from the participating parties in all level committees and the committees will be operated in a collective leadership system according to the principle of democratic centralism.

It has been agreed to reach a conclusion through the Ekta National Convention after continuing to discuss the issues of ideological and political differences.
