Partly cloudy in hilly areas, possibility of heat wave in plains

Kathmandu. At present there is a partial influence of western and local winds in Nepal. Due to its effect, there is partial cloud cover in the hilly areas of the country, including the hilly areas of the Koshi region, while the weather is mainly clear in the rest of the area. According to the weather 'bulletin' issued by the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, light rain is currently occurring at one or two places in Koshi Province.
According to the division, it will be generally cloudy in the Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces this afternoon. It will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the remaining provinces as well as in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and the weather will remain clear in the remaining areas.
There is a possibility of thunderstorm (moderate rain with lightning) in some places of Bagmati and Gandaki regions including Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi region.
