On the fourth day of Dashain, Tika and blessings continue

Main News Image

Kathmandu. The process of applying Dashain tika, which started from the main day of Vijayadashami, continues today on the fourth day of Chaturdashi as well. Nepali people are traveling from far and wide to seek blessings from dignitaries with red Akshata tika on their foreheads and yellow jamara on their ears.

On Vijayadashami, the main day of Badadashain, there is a special tradition of receiving Tika, Jamra and blessings from many people. However, since it is not possible to visit relatives, friends and relatives who are far away, it is not possible to apply tika on the day of Vijayadashami.

According to the Nepali tradition, this process of putting Dashain tika starts from Vijayadashami and continues until Kojagrat Purnima.
