Now only institutions within the top 1,000 are allowed to run educational programs in Nepal
Kathmandu. The government has set new and stricter qualifications for colleges wishing to conduct educational programs in Nepal through affiliation with foreign universities. According to the new system, foreign universities wishing to be affiliated to Nepal must be included in the list of the best 1,000 universities in the world.
According to the Foreign Educational Program Operation and Regulation Regulations, 2083 recently approved by the Council of Ministers, the legal way to cooperate only with internationally established and quality universities has been opened. Previously, the quality standards for foreign relations were relatively flexible, but now the government has made it more strict.
