New practices in service delivery, passport and driver's license now at the doorstep of citizens

Kathmandu. In accordance with the government's plan to bring service delivery to the doorsteps of citizens, passports and driver's licenses have now been delivered to homes. In order to get such services, the state itself has started reaching the doorsteps of the citizens to end the long journey to the headquarters or related offices, to stand in queues for hours, to rely on middlemen and to run again and again.
According to Manmaya Bhattarai, Director General of the Postal Service Department, this service has been started as a trial in Makwanpur, Myagdi, Dadeldhura and other districts. Sankhuwasabha, Nawalparasi Bardghat Susta Paschim and other districts are making final preparations while all the districts are making their own plans on how to provide services.
