"Nepal Police and Traffic at the forefront for overall peace and security of Nepal"
Kathmandu. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu CDO Ishwarraj Paudel has said that Nepal Police is at the forefront for the overall peace and security of Nepal. Speaking at the magic light handover program to the Valley Traffic Police on Monday, he mentioned that the role of the traffic police is important in road safety, passenger safety and vehicle management.
CDO Poudel recalled that the traffic police were in a difficult situation after the Genji movement and said that the situation has improved and they are back on the road stronger. "In the beginning, after the Genji movement, the traffic police were not on the road, there were no vehicles, there were no dresses, there were burnt structures all around," he said, "but now the presence of the traffic police can be seen at every intersection."
In the program, Senior Superintendent of Police of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Navraj Adhikari said that positive thinking is necessary to improve the relationship between citizens and the police. He said, "Even if you come with a positive mind and an idea of how to improve the relationship between the police and the citizens, it is a great asset for us."
