Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that her duties have been completed after the voting. This election is being held after the political instability that has been going on for the last few months. After the 'Jenji movement' last September, the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's government was overthrown and the House of Representatives was dissolved. Then on August 27, Karki was appointed as the executive head of the interim government.
Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari has said that all necessary arrangements have been made for free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections. This time, 1 crore 89 lakh 3 thousand 689 voters will decide the fate of 6 thousand 541 candidates competing for 275 seats in the House of Representatives. Compared to the 2079 election, about 915,000 new voters have been added.
