Monsoon still under influence across the country: Chance of moderate to heavy rain and gale at some places today

Kathmandu. At present, the influence of Monsoon air is continuing throughout the country. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure line is located south of Sardar towards the eastern part of Nepal and around Sardar place towards the western part.

As a result of this, light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning are currently occurring at few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini regions. Although it is partly cloudy in Madhes province, it is generally cloudy in all other provinces of the country.

The department has predicted that it will be generally cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly areas of the country as well as in the Terai areas of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon. Partly cloudy will occur in Terai region of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati regions.
