Vehicles will not be allowed to drive from February 20 until the voting is completed

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has announced that the operation of public and private vehicles will be banned from February 20th at 12:00 PM till the end of voting.

 Regarding the establishment of effective security arrangements for the House of Representatives election to be held on February 21, the meeting of the high-level election security committee formed in accordance with Section 3 of the Election Security Management Guideline, 2078, received passes for emergency service vehicles such as ambulances, fire engines, hearses, blood circulation services, security agency vehicles, electricity maintenance, water supply and sewerage maintenance, telecommunication service maintenance, diplomatic mission vehicles and those used for election day. Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, Co-Secretary and Spokesman of the Commission informed that it has been decided to stop the operation of public and private vehicles, other than vehicles, from 12:00 PM on February 20th till the end of voting on February 21st.
