Monitoring of Authority's Dispatch Center at Suchhatar for Power Demand and Supply Management
Kathmandu. Energy Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Minister Kulman Ghising has taken information about electricity demand and supply management on special days of Tihar besides Lakshmi Puja. On Monday evening, during a visit to Nepal Electricity Authority's dispatch center at Suchatar, the team including Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources Chiranjeevi Chatout, Chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Commission Ram Prasad Dhital, Joint Secretaries of the Ministry, Director General of the Electricity Development Department, Executive Director of the Authority, and Deputy Executive Directors took information about the power supply situation.
Minister Ghisingh had said that the authority will be successful in providing uninterrupted power supply throughout the country on the day of Lakshmi Puja this year as in previous years.
The authority had kept the heads of distribution centers and technical staff in readiness throughout the country to prevent power outages on the day of Lakshmi Puja.
The team led by Ghising, who was appointed as the executive director in August 2073, managed the demand and supply of electricity and started the end of load shedding from Kathmandu Valley on the day of Lakshmi Puja of the same year.
