Monitoring of 56 commercial firms in one day

Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection has monitored 56 commercial firms on the same day at various locations in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The department has conducted on-site monitoring of firms, shops and commercial establishments that sell and distribute foodstuffs and other daily consumables and brought them under the scope of necessary action.
According to the statement issued by the department, 56 commercial firms have been monitored and given corrective instructions. During the monitoring, special attention was paid to whether the shops did not issue bills, did not keep the price list so that the consumers could easily see it, and did not fulfill the tax and other obligations that should be paid according to the law. The department has said that it will continue such monitoring to ensure consumer rights.
