More liquidity in banking system, Rashtra Bank pulling 50 billion today

Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank is going to withdraw 50 billion rupees from the banking system today, January 28th. To manage excess liquidity, the central bank is using deposit collection tools to withdraw money from the banking system.
Rastra Bank has informed that a meeting will be held today at 3 pm for this purpose. Banks and financial institutions who want to give deposits can negotiate up to the total call amount so that when divided by a minimum of 10 million rupees and a maximum of 5 million rupees, the balance will be divided.
The Rastra Bank has stated that the negotiation of deposit collection will be done on the interest rate and multiple interest rates can also be negotiated. Only 'A', 'B' and 'C' category banks and financial institutions will be allowed to participate in the deposit collection device.
