Mahashivratri preparations in full swing: Pashupatinath shines
Kathmandu. On the occasion of this year's Mahashivratri festival, the work of painting, cleaning and improving the infrastructure of the Pashupatinath temple complex and surrounding areas has been started. The Pashupati Area Development Fund has informed that special preparations are being made to give the devotees easy and safe darshan.
For the preparation of Mahashivratri, nine thematic sub-committees have been formed under the main ceremony committee. Pashupati Area Development Fund's Executive Director Subhash Chandra Joshi said, management, security, health, sanitation, transportation and publicity work are being done rapidly with the aim of ensuring the comfort of saints, devotees and pilgrims.
Due to the large number of devotees coming during the Mahashivratri festival, special attention has been paid to crowd management, security and emergency services. In preparation, work has been carried out in coordination with security personnel, volunteers and various organizations. A 171-member original ceremony committee has been formed under the leadership of Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Pashupati Area Development Fund Management Council. The aim of the committee is to complete the Mahashivratri festival in an orderly, dignified and grand manner.
