Letter from Asset Laundering Department to Deuba's son Jayveer, instructing him to appear within 7 days
Kathmandu. The Money Laundering Investigation Department has instructed former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's son Jayveer Singh Deuba to appear for a statement within seven days in connection with the money laundering investigation.
The department reached Deuba's residence at Budhanilkanth in Kathmandu on Monday and placed a public notice and asked Jayveer Singh Deuba to appear at the department's office at Pulchok in Lalitpur within seven days from the date of publication of the notice.
According to the information issued by the department, Jaivir Singh Deuba is being investigated for the crime related to money laundering. During the investigation, he was asked to be present as necessary details and clarifications on some issues were to be obtained. This notice has been issued in accordance with section 41 of the Prevention of Money Laundering and Asset Laundering Act, 2064, the department said.
