Kathmandu. Chairman of CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today visited his burnt house at Balkot in Bhaktapur. On August 24th, he reached Balkot to see the house that was destroyed due to arson during the Genji movement. At first, Oli watched the burning house for a while from the gate, then he reached the inner room through the bardli of the house. Oli was accompanied by his religious wife Radhika Shakya and some party workers. After the fire, they are currently living temporarily in Gundu in Bhaktapur.

Earlier on October 4, Radhika Shakya had come to see the house alone. She said that there was a plan to make the house a museum, but now only ashes remain. Shakya said, it took me 6 months to manage this house. In one room, there were signs of respect and love from the country, while in another room, precious materials given by the prime ministers of China, Cambodia, India, Vietnam, Japan and others were decorated in drawers.

KP Oli has alleged that his properties were damaged in a planned manner in the name of agitation. Talking to the media persons at his Balkot residence, Oli claimed that he was repeatedly targeted and attacked. UML party offices have been burnt all over the country. Preparations for this were already made and UML was specifically targeted," he said.

Accusing the government of not wanting to prosecute the culprits of the incident, Oli said, "Despite all the evidence, the government is trying to protect the criminals." The intention of the government is clear from the statement of the Home Minister. He said that during the agitation, court case missiles, historical documents of the Singha Darbar, industries (businesses, schools and private properties) were burnt and he said that this incident was a 'terrible conspiracy against Nepal'.
