Kathmandu has become the fourth most polluted city in the world, the pollution is likely to increase until it rains

Kathmandu. The air quality of the capital Kathmandu has reached a very bad condition on Thursday morning. Kathmandu has risen to the fourth place in the list of the most polluted cities in the world. According to IQ Air data, Nepal's air quality is unhealthy till 10 am in Kathmandu. Currently, the air AQI here is 188. The level of PM 2.5 in the air here is 21.7 times higher than the standard set by the World Health Organization.

Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is among the most polluted cities in the world. The second place is Lahore in Pakistan and the third place is the city of Kabul in Afghanistan. The capital of India, New Delhi, is ranked fifth after Kathmandu. According to Director General of Environment Department, Gyanraj Subedi, the pollution is likely to increase until rain falls.
