Kathmandu. Janaipurnima festival is being celebrated across the country today by wearing new Yajnopavit Janai and Rakshabandhan. It is customary for Vedic Sanatan Dharma devotees to bathe in rivers, lakes, ponds and ponds from early morning on the day of full moon and tie the Rakshasutra from Guru Purohit. It is a religious belief that if Tagadhari wears the Yajnopavit and Doro Rakshasutra which is properly chanted by the Guru Purohit, he will get protection from negative elements.

For the protection of human beings, rakshabandhan, chanting the mantras of Doro Vedic tradition, is tied to the right wrist of the host by chanting chants, penance and worship.

On this day, it is mentioned in the law that the Brahmins, Kshetris and Vaishyas have to pay their own sacrifices. For this, from Shravan Shukla Chaturdashi, one shaves his hair and eats only one meal. In this way, Tagadhari, who fasts, go to ponds, lakes, ponds, rivers and pools in the morning on the full moon day and bathe with cow dung, ashes, dattiun and saptamritika.

After the bath, barley, sesame seeds and kush are offered to the sages, and the new man, instructed by the Vedic Rudrabhishek system, becomes the Yajnopavit. Along with Arundhati, eight sages namely Kashyapa, Atri, Bharadwaja, Vishwamitra, Gautama, Jamadagni, Vashishta and Agastya are worshiped and offered on this day, so this day is also called Rishi Tarpani.
