The authority has started an investigation into the land encroachment of the university

Kathmandu. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has started a formal investigation into the allegations of misappropriation and encroachment of thousands of Ropani lands in the name of Tribhuvan University. According to Rajendra Kumar Poudel, the spokesperson of the Commission, the investigation process has been started with the study of the report received from the Ministry of Education.

Last year, a five-member investigation committee formed under the coordination of former secretary Sharada Prasad Trital on behalf of the government submitted a report with the conclusion that more than 2,000 ropanis of land of the university had been encroached by various agencies and individuals.

According to the report, along with organizations such as Ayurveda Research and Training Center, Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water Board, Agricultural Horticulture Center, Kirtipur-based Laboratory School has also been found to be trying to register the land of the University in their name. It is mentioned in the details that the school is occupying the land without the approval of the university.
