The National Confederation of Nepal Transport Professionals has said that the number of people leaving the valley is expected to increase due to the long Tihar holiday. The president of Mahasangh, Vijay Bahadur Swaran informed that the transportation will be easily managed for people going out during Tihar.
This time during Dashain, some people had to suffer due to heavy rains, but during Tihar the highways have been improved, they will not have to suffer anymore, he said. Shubhanjan Dahal, information officer of the road department, also said that since the main highways across the country have been improved, those traveling far to celebrate Tihar should not face any problem.
