Kathmandu: At present, monsoon winds are affecting the entire areas of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati Provinces, some parts of Gandaki Province, and a few places in the eastern region of Lumbini Province. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, other parts of the country are experiencing partial influence from westerly and local winds.
As a result, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country are generally cloudy, while the Terai region is partly cloudy. Light rainfall is currently occurring at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
This afternoon, the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, as well as the Terai region of Koshi Province, are expected to remain generally cloudy. Madhesh Province and the Terai areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions. Meanwhile, the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim Provinces are expected to have mainly fair weather.
