Kathmandu. Congress president Gagan Thapa has resigned from the post taking moral responsibility after the unexpected defeat in the election. Chairman Thapa submitted his resignation to Vice Chairman Vishwa Prakash Sharma after the date of the Central Working Committee meeting was decided. However, his resignation was not made public by the party.
