Former Secretary Kishore Thapa appointed as Chairman of Tertiary Services Commission

Kathmandu. Kishore Thapa, former secretary of Nepal government and senior urban planner, has been appointed as the chairman of Tribhuvan University University Service Commission. Prime Minister and Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Balendra Shah appointed Thapa as the Chairman of the Service Commission. Likewise, Prof. as a vacant member of the Service Commission. Dr. Regina Maske has been appointed. Both these important appointments have been made with the aim of making the Service Commission of Tribhuvan University more efficient, transparent and friendly to qualified personnel.

The president recommendation committee formed under the leadership of Sasmit Pokharel, vice-chancellor of the university who is also the minister of education and sports, recommended the names of three persons to the chancellor after a detailed study, evaluation and interview of the applications received for the post of chairman of the service commission.

Based on the same recommendation, Chancellor Shah handed over the responsibility of the president to Thapa. The recommendation committee called for open applications from interested and qualified persons for the post of Service Commission Chairman last May.
