Federation sit-in in front of the police complex demanding the unconditional release of journalist Kishore Shrestha

Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepalese Journalists has protested against the arrest of journalist Kishore Shrestha and the raid on the media house. Journalists gathered under the leadership of Federation President Nirmala Sharma in front of the Kathmandu Police Complex wearing black belts and displaying burning lanterns demanded Shrestha's unconditional release.

After the police intervened in the peaceful sit-in during the protest, the situation became tense for a while and there was a scuffle between the police and the journalists.
