Extension of time period of investigation commission, order of data collection approved

Kathmandu. The government has decided to extend the time period of the commission of inquiry formed to investigate the physical and human damage caused during the Genji movement that took place on August 23 and 24. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held today has decided to extend the term of the commission formed under the coordination of former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki by 25 days.
Government Spokesperson and Home Minister Omprakash Aryal informed about the decision of the meeting and said that time has been extended to complete the investigation. The Cabinet meeting on October 5 formed this commission to find out the truth about the damage caused during the demonstration.
The meeting also approved the National Economic Census-2082 Data Collection Order 2082. This has opened the way to collect detailed information about the country's economic situation. In addition, the Council of Ministers has also decided to submit the annual report of the Government of Nepal for the fiscal year 2081, 82 to President Ramchandra Paudel. Minister Aryal mentioned that this decision was taken in accordance with the constitutional provision to submit the details of the government's annual performance and achievements to the President.
