Kathmandu. The European Union EU has decided on Friday not to allow the assets of the Russian Central Bank to return to Russia in any way. The move was implemented immediately in view of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The statement issued by the association states, "This decision has been made with immediate effect to reduce the negative impact on the economy of the association." According to the decision, the assets of the Russian Central Bank are completely restricted.

It also covers transactions involving any person, organization or entity acting on behalf of or at the direction of a Russian bank. European Council President Antonio Costa wrote on social media, "At the October Council meeting, a commitment was made to protect Russian assets, and Friday's decision fulfills that commitment.
