Durga Prasai's message to Gyanendra Shah: To become a king, one must come to the field like Prithvi Narayan
Bhaktapur. Durga Prasain, the coordinator of the 'Rashtra, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Bachau Mahabhiyan', has expressed his displeasure towards former King Gyanendra Shah. In a press conference held in Bhaktapur on Saturday, he expressed his displeasure towards the former king and royalists. Although he has been fighting for the monarchy and the Hindu state for three years, the former king has become inactive and the royalists have also accused him of showing double character. He complained that the movement could not reach a conclusion because of that.
Prasain questioned the role of former king Gyanendra Shah and said that he should be active. He gave the example of Prithvi Narayan Shah and argued that the king himself should be active.
"Yesterday, Prithvi Narayan Shah also came out with a khukuri in his hand and became the king. The king also had to have something, there had to be an emphasis, there had to be a reduction, there had to be strength," Prasain said. "Four of the king's people jump on the road, but not even one of the king's announcements comes. The king went and sunbathed in the tea garden of Damak.
Prasain made it clear that he did not abandon the issue of the king, but that the king and royalists should also support the movement and should not remain inactive. He also claimed that it was his success to bring the demand of monarchy and Hindu state to the Prime Minister's table.
