Deuba withdrew from the election and will not contest the House of Representatives elections in February

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will not contest the House of Representatives elections in February. Deuba's private secretariat has informed that he will not be a candidate. "I would like to inform you that Sher Bahadur Deuba will not be a candidate in the upcoming House of Representatives elections," Deuba's personal secretary Bhanu Deuba said.

Chairman Gagan Thapa and Deputy Chairman Vishwaprakash Sharma requested Deuba, who has been a candidate from Dadeldhura since 2048 and has always won, not to contest the election. Deuba was continuously elected from Dadeldhura from 2048 to 2079. After the new working committee led by Gagan Kumar Thapa came from the special convention of Nepali Congress, Deuba announced that he will not contest the next election.
