Deepak Bhatt and Sulabh Aggarwal allowed to be detained for seven more days
Kathmandu. The Kathmandu District Court has allowed Deepak Bhatt and Sulabh Agarwal to be detained for another seven days for investigation into the crime of money laundering. The bench of Judge Tilak Bahadur Karki issued the order after the petition of the Money Laundering Investigation Department and the arguments of the advocates of both sides.
The department had asked for a deadline of 30 days saying that the investigation work has reached its final stage but some more procedures are left. The district court has allowed the defendants Deepak Bhatt and Sulabh Aggarwal to be detained for 79 days for investigation. According to subsection 940 of section 17 of the Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2064, the deadline has been extended.
