Dacca cap is mandatory for airport immigration staff

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has instructed the staff of the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport to wear Dhaka cap compulsorily. Home Minister Gurung, who visited the immigration office on Friday during inspection and monitoring, gave such instructions to the office staff. This information was given by Anuj Bhandari, the information officer of the airport immigration office.

Information Officer Bhandari said that employees were instructed to wear Dhaka caps to reflect Nepali originality and national identity. "Since immigration is the first place that tourists see when they enter Nepal, the dress, behavior and service of the employees working there reflects the image of the country," he said.

After the instructions of Minister Gurung, some employees started wearing caps from Saturday. According to the office, almost all employees have started wearing Nepali caps by Sunday.
