Council of Ministers may have 15 members, preparations to add ministers after Tihar

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki, who is discussing the expansion of the cabinet, is going to add more ministers after Tihar. According to Prime Minister and Council of Ministers office sources, the cabinet may have up to 15 members. Currently there is an 8-member cabinet. According to sources, up to 7 more ministers will be added. When the Prime Minister was being appointed, Karki had said that she would form an 11-member cabinet. However, since various aspects have to be covered and the speed of work has to be accelerated, she has started preparations to form a cabinet of a larger size than that.
There is now an eight-member cabinet. The cabinet will be expanded by adding 6-7 people," said a member of Prime Minister Karki's secretariat. "The cabinet can be up to 15 members at most." Karki is going to expand the cabinet by keeping the defense and foreign ministers with her.
