Corruption case against ten people including the then mayor of Kamala municipality

Kathmandu. A corruption case has been filed against Ram Udgar Goit, the then mayor of Kamala municipality in Dhanusa. Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a corruption case of 29 lakh 44 thousand 137 rupees against ten people including Goit. According to the spokesperson of the commission, Rajendra Kumar Paudel, the then Acting Chief Administrative Officer of the said Municipality Birendra Kumar Sadhan, Accountant 9th Fifth 0 Sanjiv Kumar Mahato, Jugal Kishore Yadav, Head of Jinsi Branch, the then executive members Dhaneshwar Yadav, Dharmanath Mandal, Paltu Kawari, Vinod Ram, Samsul Mia Momin and Santosh Kumar Yadav, Chairman of S&S Wilders Pvt.
According to the Commission, it is alleged that they entered into an agreement with the second offeror without entering into an agreement with the firm that paid the minimum price for the work of delivering soil and constructing a ghat in the pond at Lagma Bazar in Kamala municipality. In the financial year 2076 and 77, a cost estimate of 75 lakh rupees including value added tax was approved for the project of beautifying the pond near Lagma Bazar located in Dhanusha Kamala Municipality Ward No. 3.
