Kathmandu. Under the Nagadhunga-Mugling road expansion project, the construction work of Naubise-Malekhu section has gained momentum. In this second section, which has a total length of 43 km, a total of 27 km of road construction has been completed with 25 km of asphalt and 2 km of sloping rigid pavement.

According to Keshav Ojha, head of planning of Nagadhunga-Mugling road project eastern section, the overall physical progress of this section has reached 60 percent. Although the project aims to achieve 75 percent physical progress in the current financial year, due to the lack of bitumen in the international market, some obstacles were created in achieving the goal. He informed that although there was a problem in the supply of bitumen due to the tension in the Middle East, the supply has been eased after the facilitation of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and the work has resumed speed.
